about

Alabaster spent two years making his debut LP, Copernicus, for no reason but to create as fine a piece of work as he could, and to involve, as much as possible, the people around him, in a project. Once the thing was completed, these people gathered together to celebrate the work, and one-another, on an occasion that has proven dear to the memory of all involved. This Live LP is a recording of a smattering of the fine music, and but a handful of the beautiful moments that occurred that night. It is coloured by and formed of the stirring resonance of a time - and collection of people - it couldn't hope to represent.

about

Alabaster dePlume Manchester, UK

“You know when you’re ugly
You don’t always know you’re stupid”

Alabaster dePlume delights in his own confusion.

He embraces it. It makes him look a bit pretentious, sometimes, but in the end, it is deeply sincere, and entertaining.

He works with Debt Records in his hometown Manchester, and performs poetry and song around the UK, in festivals, bars and concert halls.
